On 21st March 2026, the Ludhiana Chapter of NIRC of ICSI successfully organized a highly informative seminar at GNIMT College on the topic “Decoding the New Labour Codes and Opportunities for Company Secretaries.” The session was led by CS Manoj Kapoor, a distinguished fellow member of ICSI and an experienced legal & management consultant. He was joined by CS Kanchan Bhatia, Chairperson of the Ludhiana Chapter of NIRC of ICSI.
The seminar focused on the 4 New Labour Codes that will revolutionize the way businesses are implementing compliance in India. 29 old labour laws were consolidated in these four codes that will form the basis of these four codes - Code on Wages 2019, Industrial Relations Code 2020, Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code 2020 and Code on Social Security 2020. It was an insightful seminar about how these New Labour codes are being implemented and how Company Secretaries are going to be the key in helping organizations cope with the new compliance structure.
